This are so simple, so tasty and a great way to enjoy pears. If the pears are slightly under ripe and you can’t wait to eat them this is a great way to use them, equally if they are a bit over ripe this is perfect too. I often eat them for breakfast, when I get up to make a cup of tea I will pop the oven on, prepare the pears and stick them in the oven, and let them bake whilst getting ready. By the time I come down they are done. They go just as well with yogurt and granola as they do with porridge and nuts. However, they make a lovely light dessert too, served with oat crème fraiche or vanilla ‘ice-cream’, toasted nuts and a drizzle of maple. The also look very pretty baked.
