I could decide whether to call them protein balls or energy bites, so i just went for Bites. I think they are basically the same thing. Whichever they a so delicious, full of the good stuff, high protein, immune boosting, anti-inflammatory, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and fibre. So simple to whip up, just chuck everything on a bowl give it a mix, roll into balls and chill in the fridge.
The benefits of turmeric to our health are huge and if you can squeeze a little bit in every day, all the better. Turmeric supplements are a great way to get to get your daily dose.
SERVES:
Approx 25 bites
Bites
½ cup almond butter
3 ½ tbsp. maple syrup/rice syrup/date syrup/coconut blossom syrup
¼ cup hemp seeds
1 large carrot
A good pinch of salt
1/3 cup coconut flour/ground almonds (i used coconut flour)
¼ melted coconut oil
½ tsp turmeric
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp mixed spice
½ tsp ground cinnamon
½-1 tsp freshly grated ginger.
To serve
½ cup desiccated coconut (optional)
¼ cup hemp seeds (optional)
